The Cricket is called gentlemen’s game, even though batsman hit the balls ruthlessly out of the ground and ballers put in all effort to hit the stumps with their balls, and breaking the stumps into pieces with their balling is another high for a baller. It sounds so violent, but it is not, it is the player’s skill, technic, dedication and passion, which result in magical demonstration of skills on the ground.
Needless to mention that Cricket is a man made religion in India like any other and cricketing legends who have created their era were considered as cricketing Gods in their playing career. For the longest period it was the legendry Sachin Tendulkar. From lala Amarnath ,Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi , Sunil Gavaskar to Kapil Dev, every time a cricketing legend was born on the ground, it was speculated that these records will never be broken as targets set by these legends seems unachievable, but records were broken and targets were achieved every time a legends were born to seal their era, until another cricketing God was born on the ground to nail all the speculation and conviction of unbreakable records and untouchable benchmarks, The Sachin Tendulkar.
It is not long before when we thought that nobody would ever be born to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record, the eyes did not even blink to witness an era of another cricketing legend, and here comes another cricketing god to put every speculation on rest, to entertain as never before, and it is The master of every stroke, The Graceful Virat Kohli.
Sometime in the past when Kohli was breaking other’s to make his own records in one day and T20 cricket that people started speculating again that he might succeed to break Sachin’s record in one day and T20, but it will be impossible for him to do it in test cricket as not enough number of test cricket is played now in comparison to Sachin Tendulkar’s era, which is correct, but he still proved every speculation wrong when he equaled it with Sachin Tendulkar’s 15 test centuries in 89 innings, only more than Sunil Gavaskar’s 15 test centuries in 77 innings . It will be very soon when Kohli will surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s records in all three formats.
